Our Choir Members

(Serving Police Constable in Westminster Borough)

"I joined the MET choir after my Initial Police Training course at Hendon in November 2014. I've never sung in a choir before, but wanted to join a music group of some sort. I simply turned up to a Monday night rehearsal and had a go. I loved it! My previous job as a trumpet teacher has helped me along, as has the encouragement of my colleagues and expert direction of our conductor Richard. I enjoy making music, and relish the challenge of learning a varied repertoire. We sing music from all genres. The choir participate in many concerts and events throughout the year. Its a great way to meet people and discover London.

Contributing to our local communities through the medium of music is probably as unique as you can get within the MET. As police officers, serving the communities of London is what we do. The ability to amplify our work using the power of music is very special, and as a new Police Constable I very much look forward to 2015 and beyond."
