Val (audience member) at our Christmas Concert 2019
The Metropolitan Police Choir (MPC) have a long and honourable history since its origins back in 1872.
The MPC have been singing together since June 2016, having previously been performing as the Metropolitan Police Male Voice Choir for a number of years. The MPC are a mixed voice choir, led by PC Richard Fox, which now truly represents the diversity of the Metropolitan Police Service.
Made up of serving and retired officers and police staff, we perform for many charity, community and Metropolitan Police Service events throughout the year. By so doing, we help to raise vital funds for numerous charitable causes and demonstrate a different side of police engagement to our fellow Londoners and beyond.
One of the most prestigious events the choir has performed was at the unveiling of the Iraq and Afghanistan War Memorial. The choir sang a specially written arrangement of 'Nearer My God To Thee'. We were honoured to perform for those that lost their lives and were injured in the conflicts, as well as singing for Her Majesty The Queen and other prestigious guests.
We are rightfully proud of our history and continue to honour it as the MPC.
