Yesterday (8th November) the MPC had the honour of performing at the annual Mass for the Catholic Police Guild’s national service of remembrance for deceased police officers. Held in the lovely acoustic of Westminster Cathedral, the service is a full ceremonial Mass featuring the Last Post and a two-minute silence and wreath laying. The tenors and basses pictured here, along with the sopranos and altos, sang a mixture of Renaissance and modern music ranging from a Tallis anthem to Rutter and Ola Gjeilo. Beautifully accompanied this year by only the second female organ scholar the Cathedral has appointed - Carolyn Craig. Many thanks to her. We look forward to singing again at the centenary service in 2023.
